What is it about Homemade Quilts that people are skeptical about ordering one.  Is it the non factory business end of the idea or the fact there are no guarantee's to the purchase? I really wonder if people really get the idea that homemade quilts are actually better than the factory versions, if for no other reason than they are made by people that actually give a hoot and not some programmed machine that makes a quilt so impersonal. Our business is a home base business with 2 employees, my wife Zoe and myself, although our son helps out when he can by making bobbins for us.

We don't claim to be experts in the field of quilting, in fact we claim just the opposite. Our quilts are designed by us and built by us using simple sewing machines and our imaginations. We get quite a few ideas from books and online services including pentagrams for quilting and block designs by various site on the internet.

Many of the material patterns we show on our site were purchased at local yard sales or sales at the
local  Joann's Fabrics. We build quilted quilts of various sizes and dimensions, from infant sized to California Kings with an 18 inch drop.

We accept nearly every challenge people have requested, but there are a few that were just improbable to complete.
A woman Emailed us with a request for a Cal. king with a 26" drop and a pillow tuck. The quilt was going to measure 124" X 144", which in itself was huge, but we were able to accommodate the request. Next she wanted a high end fabric that was nearly impossible to find, but with some help from a friend in the business, we were able to find the fabric and would have to dye it the requested colors. The price of the fabric was 25.00 a yard multiplied by two, because she requested a the same fabric in a different color on the reverse side.

We don't add extra for special orders, because that's what we do, but we don't pay for fabrics, the customer does. Our quilts are priced according to the price of material plus our time. We don't plan on getting rich with high prices and the sale of 4 items a month. We actually enjoy meeting the desires of people wanting a homemade personalized quilt that no one else has.

Come visit our site if you interested in custom homemade quilts that you have the say so in the construction and design of an heirloom that you will feel comfortable in passing on to the next generation.
